Catchers’ Clinic: Saturday, August 14, 2010 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

See below for specific times for each age group.

Catching drills include proper set up, catching, blocking and throwing to bases.   The cost is $30 per person.   Space is limited – sign up early!  Parents are allowed to stay and listen in assigned areas. Players should bring their own catcher’s gear.  If you don’t have any, please reserve some with Martin at fast2home@yahoo.com. No outside drinks allowed unless it is in their own water bottle.  No outside food.

The 21st Annual "Best in the Midwest" Baseball and Softball Coaches Clinic

FAST Wizards is proud to announce that we will now be managing and hosting the "Best in the Midwest" Baseball and Softball Coaches Clinic.

Bruce Edwards, who has built the Best in the Midwest Coaches Clinic up to one of the finest coaching clinics in the United States, will continue to assist as a consultant.

The 21st Annual "Best in the Midwest" Baseball and Softball Coaching Clinic will again be held at the Holiday Inn French Quarter in Perrysburg, Ohio on November 11, 12 and 13th, 2010.

This is the ultimate clinic with 13 speakers over 16 hours covering over 30 different topics on coaching aspects of youth baseball and softball.

2010 FAST SOFTBALL CLINICS AND PRACTICE

GENERAL SKILLS CLINICS

FAST Softball provides general defensive skills and hitting clinics at Owens College on Sunday afternoons through the winter.  These clinics are open to all softball players regardless of team or program affiliation. 

Fielding drills will include instruction and practice opportunities in throwing, catching, grounders, fly balls and base running.  Also hitting instruction and practices with several stations.   Players will be grouped by age/ability and will be placed in groups accordingly.  Instruction provided by Wizard travel ball coaches along with local high school and college coaches on occasion. Space is limited – sign up early!

RIGHTVIEW PRO HITTING INSTRUCTION

FAST has initiated a program to increase the number of quality hitting instructors in our area.  Wizard coaches Steve Hegedus, Mark Dunsmoor, and Jeff Eisenbrandt are certified Right View Pro instructors through Leon Woods.
