FAST Spring
Softball Program
FAST Softball will once again
be directing the NWO Spring Softball League for Junior high and
younger players. The Varsity and Jr. Varsity Division will be for
players up to 8th grade. The Minor Division will be for players in
5th grade and younger and 6th graders will be allowed to play with
League permission.
Changes for the 2010
season.
Rule changes for the 2010
league will be discussed at the January 17th meeting at Wizard
World. Due to an increase in the sanctioning fees, the
2010 Spring League fee will be $100 per team.
You are not required to have
a home field.
We will have 3 divisions but
have relaxed the age requirements to some degree. Anyone up
through the 8th grade may play in the varsity or JV division. 5th
graders and younger may play in the Minor Division and 6th graders
will be allowed with league approval. The pitching is 35 feet
using an 11" ball for all Minor Division players.
The District ASA Commissioner will assist in scheduling umpires or for a very
small fee.
This league is
once again for community based teams. Tournament teams are only
allowed if they are community based. We believe that Spring is the
time for girls to play with the same players that they will be
playing with in High School.
The FAST Spring league has been successfully run by truly
experienced personnel. We're dedicated to providing a quality
program for all of the young softball players in NW Ohio and SW
Michigan areas.
If you need to do tryouts, please contact Martin at
Fast2home@yahoo.com
for information on the Wizard World indoor facility. The only
facility with a dirt infield, batting and pitching lanes. Special
rental rates will be given to teams participating in any FAST program
